In spite of how skillfully you drew Rarity, I do have a major gripe about the theme of the drawing. You see, I can clearly tell that you are trying to duplicate the scene from "The Gift of Maud Pie" in which Rarity imitates Pinkie Pie. Now I will give you credit for getting the jumping stance down, I don't really see how this drawing replicates that moment. If I never saw that episode and I came across this drawing, I would never be able to reference what scene this is from. If the idea is to make Rarity behave like Pinkie, then maybe there should be a few more aspects that are connected to Pinkie's character besides the jumping. Perhaps you could make the background pink, which would be a good clue as to what's going on. Or better yet, maybe Rarity's mane could be styled like Pinkie's. Remember in "The Lost Treasure of Griffonstone" when Rainbow Dash was mimicking Twilight, and she did it by styling her mane like hers? The same could be done with Rarity in this piece. In fact, thediscorded did this with his picture "Zanity". We just need something that is correlated with Pinkie, because for the time being, all I see is a picture of happy Rarity jumping around and smiling. Now that's not to say the picture is a complete bust. Rarity's figure is drawn to perfection, and the same can be said for her mane and tail. I'm glad you remembered to darken the more inward sections of her hair. Although I will advise you do whiten that darker section behind her ear. That line separating the two colors doesn't need to be there, either. Also, make sure that her mane is attached to her neck. But those are just little details. Overall, I think this piece is still satisfactory. Just make sure that's it's really reflecting the ice that you want it to. Other than that, all I have to say is keep up the good work, HyperDashPony!
